Traci Davis of Tom Davis Horsemanship TnT Ranch has done a TheraBreath review for us! She reviewed our three most popular products: TheraBreath toothpaste, oral rinse and Mouth Wetting Lozenges.  She has aptly written in her review “Suffer from dry mouth? Want [a] clean mouth with added rewards?” Is that what our products did for her? Or is she suggesting  something completely different? You’ll have to go here to find out. And rumor has it she may also be doing a TheraBreath giveaway, so you’ll want to pay her blog a visit. It’s a short but sweet review, so it won’t take long.

Terri of Mom’s Point of View also did a review and giveaway for us of the same three products. You definitely want to check out her review and enter her giveaway here. In her review, she discusses her family’s battles with bad breath. “Are you someone who suffers from bath breath or know someone that does? Sometimes having bath breath or knowing a person who does can be a very touchy subject. I know I have pretty bad morning breath. My husband also suffers from bath breath mainly because of tonsil stones.” Yes our products also help with tonsil stones! Be sure to pay Terri a visit!

Tiffany of Pigtails & Mohawks has also done a review and is hosting a giveaway for us. She  didn’t just test out the products, she had her fiancé and her father try them as well. What did they think? You’ll have to go here to find out. Plus it will give you a chance to easily enter to win  some TheraBreath for you and your family. Ok, we’ll give you a little peak, here’s a bit of what she had to say about the toothpaste: “It does not however have a “minty” taste to it (which I prefer with other toothpastes).  However, after using this product for almost a week, I can honestly say this toothpaste is by far the best toothpaste I have ever used, regardless that it  didn’t have that ‘minty’ taste.” But definitely pay Pigtails & Mohawks a visit to read the rest!

Which Preventable Action Leads to Bad Breath?

Monday, September 12th, 2011

As we often talk about, there are numerous causes of bad breath that may not be preventable, but are treatable with TheraBreath products. Just to list a few, these treatable causes include tonsil stones,
odorous foods, dry mouth, postnasal drip
and bad oral hygiene.

Of the preventable bad breath issues, which causes a great deal of bad breath and can be stopped? A group of dental researchers from Kuwait’s College of Health Sciences wanted to find out exactly that answer. This group surveyed more than 1,500 people and of that group, 23% admitted to having some form of bad breath. As this was self-disclosure, the actual number of those inflicted with halitosis might have been  higher, don’t forget that some people that have halitosis don’t even know they do!

What causes these people to have halitosis? Some factors included smoking, use of a toothbrush less than once a day (this group was more than two and half times more likely to have bad breath), smoking, chronic  sinusitis, gastric problems and not flossing.

While there are many factors that can cause foul breath, many of them are preventable. It’s always wise to brush, floss and rinse at least twice a day – using TheraBreath products will help to keep your breath fresh all day.

Shelly’s Bits and Pieces has posted her TheraBreath review. She has reviewed our TheraBreath toothpaste, oral rinse and mouth wetting lozenges. In her review, Shelly discusses her ongoing battle with dry mouth. “A few years ago, I was diagnosed with Sjogrens Syndrome, and one of the symptoms is a dry mouth.  Since I have been using the TheraBreath Lozenges, my dry mouth has finally been eased! Whenever I feel myself getting dry mouth, I simply pop a lozenge and my mouth is no longer dry…and my breath is sweeter too!  It is a win-win for me!” We love hearing that! She also talks about her loyalty when it comes to oral care products, “I am the ultimate in picky when it comes to my oral care!   Once I find a toothbrush, I’ll continue buying the exact same type, until it gets discontinued by the maker.  I’m the same way about my toothpaste!” Are we her new favorite? You’ll have to go here to find out.

Are you a blogger located in the United States and interested in reviewing TheraBreath products? Just go to http://www.therabreath.com/blogger and fill out the form to let us know. Please note, we do not pay for reviews but will send the products to try at no cost.

Venus Williams announces she has dry mouth-causing autoimmune disorder

Wednesday, September 7th, 2011

Dry mouth is one of the prime causes of bad breath, but not everyone has control over the moisture level of their palate. Besides being caused by smoking, aerobic exercise, heavy panting, anxiety or mouth breathing, a dry tongue may also be the result of Sjogren’s syndrome. Fortunately, TheraBreath makes a specialty product that can address bad breath caused by an arid palate.

An autoimmune disorder, Sjogren’s syndrome recently made headlines in the world of tennis. Venus Williams, widely considered to be one of the best female tennis players of all time, pointed to the condition as the reason for her late withdrawal from the U.S. Open Tournament.

The 31-year-old winner of two Open titles noted that she was relieved to finally have a diagnosis for her previously unexplained symptoms, which included exhaustion, joint pain, dry mouth, swollen fingers and itchy eyes, according to the Chicago  Tribune.

These are, in fact, some of the most common indicators of Sjogren’s syndrome, a condition that has previously received little media attention.

What causes this disease? Well, it is not a “disease” in the strict sense, since it is not caused by bacteria, viruses or other pathogens. Instead, says the Mayo Clinic, Sjogren’s syndrome is an autoimmune reaction, in which the body attacks some of its own cells, starting with the glands  responsible for keeping the eyes wet and the mouth moist.

Please note: if you have already been lucky enough to win one of these bloggers giveaways, please refrain from entering in order to allow others to win. Thank you!

Jodi, a Canadian blogger and owner of Rants n Rascals is back! This time, she’s reviewed our Multi Symptom Probiotics and is also holding a giveaway for our Mouth Wetting Lozenges. What did she think of our products this time? She writes, “My teeth are bad. Mix that with halitosis and well — let’s just say I have to brush brush brush, gargle gargle gargle – so I’m not embarrassed when I go out in public and breathe on anyone. I started using TheraBreath Multi Symptom Probiotics Home Treatment System just over a month ago now, and I love it! My teeth often get sore because I have no natural enamel on them (from getting sick) as a child.  So I have to work that much harder to help my teeth stay healthy.” But that’s not all that she has to say. Click here to read the rest and to enter her giveaway.

Like many of you mom’s out there, Renae is busy Sharing Bed and Board. Her blog of the name same has posted another TheraBreath review! This time she dishes all about our Multi Symptom Probiotics. She writes, “I received this product a few weeks before my daughter was born. It’s pretty simple to use. You use the treatment twice (morning and night) on the first day, once (each morning) on days 2-6, and twice (morning and night) on day 7. Each ‘dose’ is a little packet that you mix with about 2 oz. of water. To be honest…” Wow this treatment was so simple she was able to do it even with a baby on the way! Congratulations to Renae and her family on the birthday of their baby girl. Want to know what she was being honest about? Then go here to find out.

Modern Mom Savings’s motto is “saving cents just makes sense!” and we couldn’t agree more. This Modern Mom reviewed our TheraBreath toothpaste, oral rinse and lozenges AND she’s hosting a giveaway! Here are some of her thoughts and what she learned… “When I first used TheraBreath I thought it was kind of odd that it did not foam up as I brushed my teeth like other toothpaste does. I was not sure that it was actually cleaning my teeth and to be honest I did go back over my teeth with my regular toothpaste after using TheraBreath toothpaste the first time. Then after looking into it I found that…” She found out something very important about other toothpastes. Go here to learn about it too and to enter her giveaway.
